Tourism tradeshows

The tourism fairs are a meeting points between different organizations (usually buyers and suppliers) that are scheduled periodically and have a duration of a few days time, normally not more than one week.


The main functions of tourism fairs:

-          They promote direct communication between organizations.

-          Allow the effective closure of commercial agreements and contracts.

-           Improve internal cohesion among members of the tourism organization.

-          Serves as the actions undertaken by the competition.


Companies, when participating in a tourism fair have objectives which are to meet, like, close contracts of sale, new contacts (leads), product or enhance the corporate image.

There are various types of exhibitions:

-          Generalists or specialized.

-           International and local.

-           Individual or group.

There are a large number of fairs, the highlights:

·         World Trade Market de Londres (WTM).


·   Berlín (ITB).


·         Roma (BIT).

 


·         Lisboa (BTL).


·         Barcelona (EIBTM).


·         Madrid (FITUR).
